Buy a domain name

    To set up a domain, you first need to purchase a domain name.
    You can buy your favorite domain name at any domain registrar, such as Godaddy, hkdnr, hostingspeed, shopify, UDomain, and more.
    After you purchase a domain name, you need to configure the domain name resolution.

 

Godaddy

    Click on My Products, find the domain you purchased, and click the "DNS" button to go to the DNS Management page.

    Find the domain you want to connect to Posify eShop and click the Manage DNS button.

   Click Add to add a record.

    The input is shown in the following figure:
    Type: CNAME
    Name: www
    Name: Value: shopname.posify.shop
    TTL: Custom
    Seconds: 600
    Note: shopname represents the shopname you are currently applying for on Posify, for example, if your current shopname is: qmark, then the full value is qmark.posify.shop, the same below.

    If you see the following error screen when saving. Indicates that there are duplicate Type: CNAME, Host:www records, please find the record, and directly modify Points to: shopname.posify.shop.

    Click Cancel to close the Add Record window, and find the existing CNAME and WWW records, as shown in the following figure:

    Click the Edit button on the right to change the Value to shopname.posify.shop.
 
    Locate the type as: A, the name as: @ record, and modify the value to Posify IP address: 101.32.198.78.
    When you're done, click Save.

    Note: If you can't find an existing A-type record, you can simply add a A-type record.
    If you find that record A cannot be deleted or modified, please delete the forwarding setting to modify it.
   Delete the Fovodin setting

 

Hkdnr

    Log in to the website of the vendor where you purchased your domain: https://www.hkdnr.hk/。
    Go to the domain management page, click Home-> to find the domain name you purchased, and then click Manage > DNS hosting ON.

    As shown in the following figure, a Type:CNAME record and a Type:A record are added.
    For CNAME records, enter domains-21-web.posify.me in the host-name field.
    For record A, enter 101.32.198.78 for IPv4 address.
    When you're done, click Submit at the bottom of the page.

    Log in to the website of the provider where you purchased the domain name and go to the domain management page.
    Click "Domain Management" to enter the domain management page.

    Click on "Domain Name Management Platform".

    Click on "URL Forwarding & DNS Record Settings".

    Enter the following information: CNAME (Allas) as a record type and domains-01.posify.me as an address.
    Note:www is for www.xxx.com This kind of URL address
    @ is for xxx.com This kind of URL address

   
    If only www is configured, then www must be entered when accessing in the browser, if @ is configured at the same time, you can enter www without entering, and you can access it by directly entering the domain name).

    Click Save to update, and the save is as shown in the figure.

Shopify

    Log in to the website of the provider where you purchased the domain name and go to the domain management page.
    Click Add Custom Record, "Record" Name, enter "@" to guide, see CNAME domains-21.posify.me in Step 1, and enter the IP address of the target: 101.32.198.78.

    Click on Web Store - > Domains and click on DNS Settings.
   Click DNS Settings

 

    Click Add custom record.

    As shown in the following figure, you need to enter the CNAME recorded in Step 1 to select CNAME.

    Note: The DNS update time varies depending on the domain provider, but is generally between 10 minutes ~ 12 hours.
 
    If you see the following error screen when saving. If there is a duplicate Type:CNAME, Host: www record, find the record and change it to the CNAME in Step 1.

 

    Find the existing CNAME, WWW record, as shown in the following figure: 

 

    Click the edit button on the right to modify the guide to domains-21.posify.me and save it.
    If you don't need to enter www to access the website, add a new CNAME record and enter * and the CNAME recorded in step 1.

 

UDomain

    Log in to the website of the provider where you purchased the domain name and go to the domain management page.
    Click "Domain Management" to enter the domain management page.

 

    Click on the domain name under the red box.

 

    Go to the details page of domain name management.

 

    Click Change Nameserver.

 

    Enter www;IP address:101.32.198.78 under the domain name,Then click Add (Help:Refer to the note of the domain provider,If you enter www;it means that you need to add a subdomain www when visiting your website; if you don't need to add a subdomain www,enter "*" under the domain name; IP address: 101.32.198.78 Click to add).

 

    After the new domain name is successfully added, the domain name you added will be displayed in the red box.

 

 

CMS management domains

    The time required for a DNS update varies, ranging from 1 hour to 24 hours. After waiting for the DNS to update successfully, open the CMSclick on Online Storeclick Manage Domains.

 

    Enter your domain name under Your domain name, and then click OK. 
    Note: Please verify that the domain name you entered is correct and then click [Confirm] to confirm that the domain name you entered cannot be changed in the future. If you do enter the wrong domain name, please contact Posify staff.
