Confirm that the hardware using the POS is compatible  

    For IPad: at least IOS v.11 at least 9.7 inches 
    For Iphone: At least IOS v.11 
    For Android Pad: Samsung Android v.9 at least 9.7 inches
    For Android Phone: Samsung Android v.9 
    For the web: 
    Chrome - Version 73.0.3683.103 or later
    Safari - Version 12.0.2 (14606.3.4) or later

Download and install the Posify Retail APP

    For iPad POS:
    Go to the App Storesearch for "Posify Retail"download Posify Retail
    For Pad POS:
    Go to the Play Storesearch for "Posify Retail"download Posify Retail
    For Web POS:
    No need to download, open the CMSclick on POSclick on the web version of POS (retail).

 

 

POS Business Model (Single/Hybrid) 

    Open the POSclick on the three horizontal lines in the upper left cornerclick Settings.

    Click on the mode and select Retail Only or Retail & F&B under [Mixed Mode].
    If you're only using retail features, select Retail only; If you're using both retail and food and beverage features, select Retail and food and beverage.

Select a shop

    Open the POSclick on the three horizontal lines in the upper left cornerclick Settings.

    Click on the
shopselect the store/location where you want to use the POS.

    Click the lock switch above to lock the current POS location.

Lock down your store


    After locking, you need to unlock to change the location.
    Permissions are required to lock or unlock, such as admins, general store managers, or users who have this permission when set to customize permissions, and users who do not have this permission and cannot perform the lock or unlock operation.

 

 

Set the language

    Open the POSclick on the three horizontal lines in the upper left cornerclick Settings.

    Click on the
languageselect the device language (the language displayed by the POS) and the printing language.

Set up a payment method  

    Open the CMSclick Payment & Currencyclick the Payment tab Payment, and enable the POS payment method here to be used in the POS. For details, please refer to Playbook - Payments & Currencies under the Payments & Currencies module.

    Click on Payment, and you can see that the payment methods shown here are all POS-enabled payment methods on the CMS.
    Click the button to the right of the payment method to turn it on or off.

Set the number of decimal places to be retained

    This setting can only be modified on the CMS.
    Open the CMSclick Payment & Currencyclick on the tab Currency Settingenter the number under [Decimal Digit] to set the number of decimal digits.

    Click General, you can see the configured [Total number of decimal places], but it can only be viewed in POS, not modified.

Set up tax rates

    This setting can only be modified on the CMS.
    Open the CMSclick Payment & Currencyclick the Tax Rate Settings tab to set it. For details, please refer to Playbook - Payments & Currencies module.

Set up the POS currency

Set it up on the CMS

    Open the CMSclick Payment & Currencyclick Currency Settings tabset the default currency of different POS stores under [POS Payment Currency], and click [Save].

    Click on the currencyyou can see the currency type currently used by the store's POS, and click [Select] in the upper right corner.

Set up the printer

Configure the printer

    Open the POSclick on the three horizontal lines in the upper left cornerclick Settings.

    Click
Printand then tap Add Printer in the upper right corner.

    Click [Printer model]select a printer modelclick [Confirm].


    Posify offers the following printer models: 
    If you are using EPSON TM-M30, please refer to this video for configuration:

    Or configure the EPSON printer according to the following text tutorial:
    a) Download the APP "EPSONTM Utility" from the Play Store or Apple Store 
    b) Open the app and press "Wi-fi Setup Wizard"
    c) Select the printer model TM-M30 
    d) Press [Next]
    e) Then follow the steps to install 
    f) Once completed, you will print an information sheet with an IP address on a piece of paper 
    g) Select the printer and fill in the IP address field with the IP address printed on the paper 


    h) Click [Print Test Page]


    i) Click [Save] in the upper right corner.


    If you are using Star TSP100IIIW, please refer to this video to configure it:
    1) Follow these steps to set it up:

    2) Once done, you will print an information sheet with your IP address on the paper 
    3) Select the printer and fill in the IP address field with the IP address printed on the paper 
    4) Click Print Test Page.
    5) Tap Save in the upper right corner.
    If you're using a Star TSP100IIIU
    1) Plug the USB port of the iPad charging cable into the USB port on the back of the Star printer 
    2) Select the printer model in POS: Star TSP 100IIIU 
    3) Click [Print Test Page] to see if the test sheet is printed, and if the order is successfully issued, you can click [Save]. If not, please check whether the connection between the printer and the iPad is normal, if there is a successful connection, the iPad will be in the charging state. 


    If you are using Star mPOP Bluetooth 
    1) Go to iPad General Settings > enable Bluetooth > connect to Star mPOP 
    2) Select the printer on the POS page 
    3) Click Print Test Page. 
    4) Click Save.


    If you are using air-print (A4 Format) 
    1) Go to iPad General Settings - > enable WiFi - > connect to the printer that provides Air-Print 
    2) Select the printer on the POS page
    3) Click Print Test Page. 
    4) Click Save.

 

Delete the printer  

    Find the printer you want to deletepress and hold and swipe leftclick [Delete].

 

Set up printer billing notes

    Find the printer for which you want to set a note for issuanceclick the printerenter a note in Printer Notesclick Save.

 

Print receipts when you set up payments

    You can enable [Do you want to print receipts when you pay].

 

The number of receipts/receipts printed in each column

    Enter the number of invoices and receipts to print each time in [Number of Copies of Receipts Printed] and [Fraction of Receipt Printed].

 

The width of the paper

    Select the width of the invoice in [Invoice Printing Width], which can be 58 mm or 80 mm.

 

Set the print format

    Under [Print Format], click to select the print format you want to modify, select the receipt format or the daily statement formatclick [Edit] to enter the edit page.


    Merchants can set up what content is displayed in the print format and how those contents are aligned.

 

 

Link the barcode scanner via Bluetooth

    Open the POSclick on the three horizontal lines in the upper left cornerclick Settings.


    Click the functionenable [Bluetooth Scan to Add Products].


    You can see that there is a Bluetooth icon on the top of the POS, which is gray when it is not connected. Click on the Bluetooth icon.


    Turn on the switch of the barcode scanner and put it in the on state. You can see that the Bluetooth of the barcode scanner is displayed in the nearby devices in the Bluetooth list.


    Click the Bluetooth of the barcode scanner to connect, and see that the status changes to Linked.


    After linking, you can see that the color of the Bluetooth changes to blue.


    Merchants can then add products using the barcode scanner.


    If you can't connect, make sure your tablet has Bluetooth turned on, and then select Posify's Bluetooth barcode scanner from the list of nearby devices. If you can't find Posify's Bluetooth barcode scanner in the list, please click "Help" in the upper right corner to switch the scanner to Bluetooth BLE mode, that is, the scanner scans the QR code of BLE mode.
